“Good trademark protection, we’ll drink to that!”

Interview with Carine Fitte & Hélène Archidec,

Owners of Le domaine de Herrebouc

The wine domain of Herrebouc is just outside the French village of Saint-Jean-Poutge, about 100 km from Lourdes and Toulouse. This beautiful hilly estate consists of 50 hectares of meadows, 18 hectares of vineyards, 17 hectares of heathland and a 13th century medieval castle. Wine has been produced on this estate for over 300 years and the current owners, Carine Fitte and Hélène Archidec, are continuing this tradition with passion and dedication.

“It all started back in 1999 when my family visited the estate and immediately fell in love”, Carine says with a smile. “They bought it and renovated it. Since then, we have been working with passion and pleasure every day, in order to make the very best wines. We have significantly expanded our business, growing  10 different types of grapes on the 18 hectares of vineyards, presenting our wines at events and fairs, organizing wine tastings and giving guided tours of the estate.”

“Our wines are organic and are produced responsibly and sustainably.”

How does Le domaine de Herrebouc protect its products?

“We have specifically chosen to have our trademark registered and protected by a trademark agency”, says Hélène. “This way, we know for sure that our products are well protected and that we can fully focus on our work, while Bakker & Verkuijl takes care of our brand.”

And how important is that protection?

“Very important”, states Carine. “Over the years, our wines have built up a solid reputation and customers know what quality they can expect from us. The registration and protection of our brand therefore helps us to maintain and preserve this good reputation and quality.”

“Our wines are organic and are produced responsibly and sustainably.”
