Domain names

It is relatively easy to register a domain name.

Anyone who registers a domain name first is (except in special circumstances) the owner of the domain name.

If you have questions about the registration or a conflict with a domain name, please contact us.

FAQ

A domain name is basically the address of a website, no more, no less. No rights may be derived from the domain name registration.

It is important to determine in advance whether the domain name is available.

This is possible when someone else has earlier rights to the domain name. On the basis of an older brand registration or a brand name, it is possible to act against the use of the same or of a closely resembling domain name. It is advisable to investigate this in advance.

Sometimes it is necessary to take over a domain name that is already registered by someone else. In practice, this is not always as easy as it seems. From a tactical perspective, it is sometimes better to remain anonymous and outsource the negotiations. We are happy to help with that.
